Explaining the Effects of Homelessness Don’t Stop When You Get Housing
Recently Matt Vapor from Beneath the Surface spoke to staff from Access Housing in Mandurah about his experiences sleeping rough when he was 16 – 17.
Matt spent a year being homeless and talked about how these experiences shaped his adult life. From his relationship with food, struggling with employment and the impacts of violence from the street.
The talk grapples with the issues surround mental health once homelessness stops.
